MANUFACTURER SAYS: High quality fluorescent tube emitting 5% UVB. This tube is ideal for reptiles and amphibia which have a moderate need for UV radiation for the production of vitamin D3. It would suit organisms adapted to a tropical environment. It could be used in conjunction with the Repti-Glo 2.0 tube which would improve vivarium display and simulate natural light. It is advised that tubes producing UVB wavelengths of light are replaced annually due to reduction in effectiveness over this time period.
